UPS Email Marketing Supervisor in Atlanta, Georgia
The Email Marketing Supervisor manages Relationship and Direct Marketing campaigns to generate awareness, volume, and revenue. He/she directs programs utilizing multiple communications channels (i.e., direct mail, phone, web, and e-mail). He/she collaborates with internal stakeholders and agencies to develop strategic focus, programs, and campaigns. This position prepares and presents summary of campaign effectiveness to inform senior management and stakeholders of program progress, results, and successes, creative direction, and execution to ensure brand compliance and the most effective approach.
The Email Marketing Supervisor delivers training to educate stakeholders on e-mail best practices, trends, enhancements, and deployment process. He/She collaborates with Relationship Marketing manager and agencies to develop communications strategy to ensure consistent, effective, and aligned communications that increase return on investment. This position directs agencies in the development of strategy, program, and campaign plans to ensure a consistent and effective program that meets corporate goals and objectives (e.g., manages to agreed upon campaign timetables, etc.).
Leads stakeholders in the planning process to create execution plans that synchronize with the overall campaign strategy (e.g., timing, messaging, creative focus, etc.).
Measures e-mail activity and delivers presentations on the results to senior management and stakeholders to report progress and success of channel.
Collaborates with e-mail service provider to ensure timely flow of scheduling, data, and creative assets for campaign execution.
Collaborates with multiple levels of management across the enterprise (i.e., Customer Relationship Management [CRM], Legal, and Marketing) to ensure support for strategy, tactics, approaches, and a common vision.
Creates and delivers presentations on strategy, communications plan, and budgets to senior management, stakeholders, Marketing, Communications, and CRM to gain consensus, support, and approval.
Monitors campaign development process and trending to ensure effectiveness, brand compliance, best practices, and return on investment.
Directs agencies and develops campaign briefs to provide direction for developing the creative strategy at all campaign stages (e.g., campaign concepts, copy, artwork, data, measurements, etc.) to ensure brand compliance and campaign effectiveness.
Collaborates with management to articulate plans, conducts budget reviews to ensure budget compliance, tracks and reports on expenses and provides rationale supporting the budgets to ensure actual and projected expenses will not exceed plan.
Leads search and evaluation of interactive agencies to develop a roster of approved digital vendors and manages day-to-day relationship and productivity of agency partners to ensure compliance, effective implementation, and alignment with strategy.
Initiates status reports with stakeholders and agencies to ensure timely development of campaign components and to facilitate problem resolution.
Budget Management: Tracks expenditures against financial targets; describes impact of area’s budget on organizational financial plan.
Communication Design and Management: Identifies the main message in documents; explains the importance of timely and relevant communication; demonstrates a basic understanding of the different channels available for communication.
Project Management: Demonstrates understanding of implementation objectives, project plan, and one's role within a project; participates in the implementation of a project; provides timely, thorough, and concise updates for area of responsibility; identifies areas of risk and properly communicates them to the project manager.
Bachelor’s degree (or internationally comparable degree) – Communications, Liberal Arts, Marketing, Journalism – Preferred
Experience with HTML coding – Preferred
Experience demonstrating proficiency with the Marketo marketing automation tool – Preferred
Experience demonstrating proficiency with the digital service provider tools - Preferred
