UPS International Finance Data Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Summary

The International Finance Data Specialist supports and maintains costing, reporting and planning systems that support international profitability initiatives for Europe, Asia, and Americas regions. He/She performs data source analysis using SQL or Excel, documents requirements, writes business specifications, and performs quality assurance testing.

The International Finance Data Specialist meets with finance users, contributes to conference calls, and answers to a SharePoint support log of business issues. He/She researches data issues and provides feedback to the finance users in the field. This position works with systems developers to validate business solutions.

Other Duties:

  • Audits imported data to ensure accuracy

  • Analyzes output data to define business rules as required

  • Communicates methodology changes to the field

  • Supports user base questions and feedback to ensure all pertinent parties are informed

  • Reviews expense data files to ensure accuracy.

  • Runs reports to validate the data

Preferred Competencies

  • Detail Orientation: Captures/documents specific and accurate information; learns subjects thoroughly and in detail; completes work with thoroughness; supplies appropriate details when requested; maintains organized files.

  • Report Generation: Possesses ability to generate simple reports using basic functions in software, and/or writing basic queries; identifies information required to complete reports and identifies existing reports generated by others.

  • Technology Knowledge: Demonstrates a general understanding of technology used by the company; communicates basic technological concepts and terminology; applies standard technology in daily work. Some SQL experience is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related STEM field - Preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products or similar software -Preferred
