UPS NPD Evaluation & Build Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Summary

The New Product Development - Marketing Analyst uses both internal and external resources to assist in the analysis of the impact that a new product will have on the marketplace. He/she supports the development of the initiatives and marketing strategy for the new product, collaborates with the Evaluation and/or Build team as well as with the project stakeholders to support and execute the successful launch of a new or enhanced service.

He/she will identify and analyze industry trends that will impact UPS, to better predict the outcome of a product launch. He/she will query data sources, both internal and external, to provide information about key aspects of given markets (e.g., market size, industry segment).

Other Duties

  • Assists with developing training to ensure proper, effective use of products and services

  • Collaborates with other functions and business units to establish metrics to measure the success of marketing initiatives

  • Participates in design of research questionnaires and interviews to ensure required data is captured

  • Determines employees training needs to produce continuous development plans

  • Familiar with sources relevant to assigned area; utilizes computer-based analytical and information management tools in order to perform routine analysis; documents approach and findings; reviews results with others as appropriate.

  • Demonstrate understanding of the purpose to analyze current customer performance and market potential of defines segments; able to define the purpose, benefits and differences between value statements and values propositions

  • Identifies key factors behind basic problems and establish a path to solve them; proposes approaches to solve more complicated problems

  • Demonstrates understanding of the hierarchy, relationships, and required consistency between levels of objectives and strategies (corporate, marketing, and segment); identifies potential marketing objectives and strategies along with the rationale for each.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic financial terminology and concepts such as cash flows, operating profit/loss, and net income; conducts financial analyses.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic project planning processes, including planning action items and resources.

Minimum Qualifiers

  • Bachelor’s Degree- Preferred in Marketing or related field

  • Master's Degree- Preferred in Marketing or related field
