UPS NPD Evaluation & Build Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia
The New Product Development - Marketing Analyst uses both internal and external resources to assist in the analysis of the impact that a new product will have on the marketplace. He/she supports the development of the initiatives and marketing strategy for the new product, collaborates with the Evaluation and/or Build team as well as with the project stakeholders to support and execute the successful launch of a new or enhanced service.
He/she will identify and analyze industry trends that will impact UPS, to better predict the outcome of a product launch. He/she will query data sources, both internal and external, to provide information about key aspects of given markets (e.g., market size, industry segment).
Assists with developing training to ensure proper, effective use of products and services
Collaborates with other functions and business units to establish metrics to measure the success of marketing initiatives
Participates in design of research questionnaires and interviews to ensure required data is captured
Determines employees training needs to produce continuous development plans
Familiar with sources relevant to assigned area; utilizes computer-based analytical and information management tools in order to perform routine analysis; documents approach and findings; reviews results with others as appropriate.
Demonstrate understanding of the purpose to analyze current customer performance and market potential of defines segments; able to define the purpose, benefits and differences between value statements and values propositions
Identifies key factors behind basic problems and establish a path to solve them; proposes approaches to solve more complicated problems
Demonstrates understanding of the hierarchy, relationships, and required consistency between levels of objectives and strategies (corporate, marketing, and segment); identifies potential marketing objectives and strategies along with the rationale for each.
Demonstrates an understanding of basic financial terminology and concepts such as cash flows, operating profit/loss, and net income; conducts financial analyses.
Demonstrates an understanding of basic project planning processes, including planning action items and resources.
Bachelor’s Degree- Preferred in Marketing or related field
Master's Degree- Preferred in Marketing or related field
