Job Description:

The Transportation Services Measurement Specialist develops, generates, and distributes Transportation Services operational and financial measurement reporting. He/She defines reporting requirements, sources base data, develops and maintains databases, performs analysis, and generates and distributes reports. Additionally, they he/she generates scheduled reporting reflecting performance results, gaps, and trend analysis (hit rate) to enable accountability for results. This role will interview stakeholders to determine measurement and reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes advanced data retrieval methods (e.g., macros, etc.) to create and run queries efficiently.

  • Distributes scheduled reports to users to communicate results.

  • Communicates with stakeholders to determine report update requirements for content, calculations, generation/distribution timing, presentation format, and distribution recipient/user routing and access.

  • Writes business requirements and confirms with stakeholders to ensure needs are adequately addressed.

  • Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.

Qualifications:

  • Displays knowledge of database design principles; identifies users’ requirements and needs with guidance from others; demonstrates an understanding of the importance of maintaining and updating databases.

  • Captures/documents specific and accurate information; learns subjects thoroughly and in detail; completes work with thoroughness; supplies details when requested and maintains organized files.

  • Generates reports using basic software; reviews report to ensure accuracy/completeness and identifies some problems with report generation (e.g., missing variables, incorrect data, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree (or internationally comparable degree) - Preferred

  • Intermediate level experience with advanced Excel, Word functions.

  • Experience writing complex queries using tools such as Microsoft Access or Sequel Server

  • Experience using LogiForce

  • Project Management experience

  • Job Grade: 10D

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required.
