The Applications Development Manager leads the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. He/She is involved in full systems life cycle management (i.e., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, and implementation of systems and applications software) delivered on time and within budget. This position participates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements and ensure compliance. He/She is responsible for the work of others, resource allocations, and decision-making affecting the success of assigned projects (i.e., results, deadlines, and budget).
Manages I.S. project life cycles (i.e., project scope, resources, schedule, budget, initiation, start-up, design, building, and deployment) to see projects from beginning to end.
Creates, prepares, and maintains project plans to estimate resources, plan schedules, define goals, establish metrics, assess risks, and develop cost plans and to provide stakeholder reports.
Provides status communications for senior management on issues, concerns, and risks to recommend solutions and to ensure products meet customers' needs.
Manages system analysis, design and development of applications
Manages system integration, applications' maintenance and support include process improvements
Manages resources and people processes (e.g., Performance, Career Development, Staffing, etc)
Minimum degree qualification in Information System
Minimum 5 years of relevant IT application development and full system life cycle management experience
Displays an understanding of the concept and usefulness of foundation architecture in the development and deployment of software
Works cross functionally to understand and articulate internal business processes (e.g. system requirements, training) for internal systems; applies analytical skills and advances recommendations on alternative systems solutions with different cost / benefit equations and tradeoffs
Defines processes and practices for evaluating new technologies and potential business value. Monitors and evaluates enterprise experiences with new technology. Maintains knowledge of current technologies through user and vendor associations
Contributes to technology strategy; identifies emerging technological outside the company; shares expertise and helps others with their technological problems; anticipates future technological needs or requirements of the business
