UPS Project Support Specialist - Hybrid in Alpharetta, Georgia
Job Summary
The UPS Revenue Management Systems Group is seeking a Project Support Specialist to ensure our current services and proposed initiatives are supported in the UPS pricing systems and are aligned with the UPS Corporate Strategy. This position is responsible for interacting with the International and Domestic Pricing Groups, as well as the UPS Sales Force, in support of their efforts to create pricing for our customers. The incumbent acts as the second level of support for the UPS Pricing Systems and interacts closely with the application development group to analyze and resolve any system issues. This role is also responsible for trouble-shooting, testing fixes and reporting all concerns.
Responsibilities
Takes responsibility working with appropriate internal systems to ensure timely/accurate pricing, setup and solution implementations
Works with pricing analyst to verify correct implementation of accepted proposals
Follows up on outstanding proposals to determine the status of bids and update appropriate reporting system
Reviews customer signed and accepted pricing proposals and legal setup documents to ensure contract integrity
Forwards any modified signed and accepted contracts by sales to appropriate business units to review to ensure contract is still valid and compliant with terms of sale
Obtains knowledge of pricing systems and tools to accurately integrate the implementation of products and services
Participates in conference calls with impacted parties to gain clarity of customer objectives
Understands how bids are added, removed, and created for customer’s incentives, tiers, and profitability guidelines
Analyzes information, generate reports via access database, and mange results to and from internal customers
Reports on system processes and data metrics to ensure upgrades or enhancements meet customer/sales requests
Reports on systematic account setup steps used for tracking progress
Utilizes a setup support log, which records support issues, analyses the root cause of the issue, and has a corrective action step on how to prevent issues in the future
Manages expedited requests by meeting deadlines, and maintaining required work turnaround times for setup implementations
Updates logs with pertinent information, generates queries, conducts testing efforts, and provides weekly reports to management
Preferences
Possesses organizational skills with strong attention to detail; in Microsoft outlook, manages email requests via team mailboxes, and communication log between sales, support teams, and various business units
Demonstrates an understanding of UPS products/services, integrates knowledge to ensure that proper invoicing may occur
Possesses strong organizational, analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)
Demonstrates knowledge of running queries against various databases
Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree)
Global Freight Forwarding pricing experience
CRIS experience (small package system to create account numbers to link them for Wordship)
FGV experience (system that provides full visibility to see international movement to final consignee)
E2K experience (UPS Forwarding Transportation system for International and Domestic)
Quote Assist experience (system to view Federal Maritime Commission ocean freight rates for customers)
