About Applications Development at UPS Technology:
Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with all of our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive our business and provide the ultimate customer experience. As a member of the applications development family, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.
About this role:
The Senior Applications Developer must have skills and experience in web design, development, testing and implementation of .Net web applications. He/She will provide input, support and will perform full systems life cycle management activities. The Senior Applications Developer researches and supports the integration of emerging technologies providing knowledge and support for all phases. He/She performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines. This position collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication in supporting the achievement of objectives.
The ideal candidate will work with the cross functional teams within UPS and the customer as we onboard new customers to Softeon WMS. The candidate will take the lead or work closely with the implementation team through the implementation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle and SQL & PL/SQL
Knowledge of Crystal Reports and SQL Language
Familiarity with Data Analysis and Requirements Validation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be detail-oriented
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
