UPS Data Analytics Transformation Supervisor in Atlanta, Georgia

The Data Analytics Transformation Supervisor is responsible for supporting cross functional work streams focused on transformation initiatives across the entire organization. He/She supports the objectives of the Transformation Office with a focus on high impact strategic projects. The ideal candidate implements Project Management capabilities to ensure activities and resources are appropriately aligned and provide analytical support to the project leaders and teams. He/She also maintains a high degree of confidentiality and will be privy to all of the information across the business units and functions in the Transformation Office. The Data Analytics Transformation Supervisor interfaces with the Transformation Office leadership and road-mapping teams, functional and business unit leaders.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provides critical insight and analysis in support of transformation initiatives including the development of hypotheses, proposed work plans, analytics, socialization and implementation planning, and desired output

  • Designs and executing quantitative analyses (e.g. models, financial analysis, etc.) and qualitative analyses (e.g. interviews, focus groups, etc.) to support hypotheses and drive work stream insight Developing, socializing, and aligning recommendations and sources of value with multiple levels of employees including senior leadership within the TO, through individual meetings and cross-functional meetings

  • Presents analyses and insights to senior leadership, socializing recommendations, and driving to implementation and value creation

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong Critical Thinking and Business Acumen: strong understanding of strategic business concepts, along with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans; willing to drive action and results

  • Analytical Rigor: ability to structure ambiguous problems, to develop and test hypotheses, and to design and test complex analyses with large data sets through strong analytical capabilities, including a proficiency in Excel, and a track record of framing, conceptualizing, analyzing, and solving complex business problems in fast-paced environments

  • Effective Influencing Skills: ability to work cross functionally at all levels of the organization through strong communications, influence and change management skills to support and advance complex cross-enterprise projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Powerful Communication: personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior management through expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Advanced data skill set (i.e. SQL, Access, etc.)

  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Management Information Systems (MIS), Industrial (or similar data focused) Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field - Preferred
