Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

FP&A Finance Manager will lead cross functional work stream initiatives throughout Non-Op Functions and the General Services Business Unit by supporting objectives with a focus on high-impact strategic projects and annual planning cycles. This role implements financial analytics/project management strategies to ensure activities and resources are appropriately aligned. He/She analyzes financial, risk-related data to assist and support executive management in effectively planning for all corporate Non-Op functions and the General Services Business Unit. This position supports leadership, project leaders and functional teams. He/She performs analysis on UPS-specific data, identifies potential obstacles and determines strategic recommendations. FP&A Finance Manager acts as a SME for information across all Non-Op Functions & General Services BU and maintains a high level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provides critical insights and analyses in support of cross-functional initiatives

  • Works closely with current financial teams to drive implementation of zero based budgeting and managerial financial modeling impacts

  • Designs and executes quantitative analyses (e.g. models, financial analysis, etc.) and qualitative analyses (e.g. interviews, focus groups, etc.) to drive work stream insight developing, socializing and aligning

  • Serves as a liaison, provides leadership through collaboration and designs financial solutions and action plans to support strategic trends

  • Provides insights to senior leadership, including challenges and barriers for short and long-term solutions

  • Oversees the end to end planning/reporting/forecasting processes for General Services and Non-Op

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understands concepts of finance, accounting and general business principles

  • Displays relationship-building skills to foster effective relationships across function finance leads, business units and members of the executive leadership team

  • Possess experience in project management and handling multiple projects

  • Demonstrates experience in data analyses using Microsoft Excel and presenting financial results using PowerPoint

  • Possesses experience in designing, deploying and maintaining financial dashboards in Power BI - Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Finance, Accounting or related field - Preferred

  • Master's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Business - Preferred
