Job Summary

The Global Privacy Supervisor provides overall Privacy Program support to UPS Capital. They manage components of privacy programs and assists managers with program requests. This position develops, updates, and maintains various databases, programs, and materials. They provide support for activities required to comply with emerging privacy regulations and for all privacy training activities and awareness. They collaborate with various UPS Capital regions, entities, and subsidiaries in delivering privacy awareness to UPS Capital employees through privacy activities, communications, and events. They create and maintains program dashboards, presentation materials and annual calendars. This position participates in Global Privacy programs both domestically and internationally and may supervise others in the department. This position reports to the UPS Capital IT Security.

Please note - this role does not have any direct reports.

Further, this is a hybrid opportunity that will require onsite work 2-3 days/per week (every Tuesday and Wednesday and every other Thursday) at our Sandy Springs location.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to employee and departmental request for Privacy information

  • Creates communication materials aimed to increase employee retention of Privacy program information

  • Produces, maintains, revises, and stores PowerPoint presentation for various Privacy programs

  • Leads communication efforts to increase employee knowledge and retention of Privacy programs and policies

  • Develops and updates Privacy training materials to meet UPS’s training requirements for designated audiences

  • Coordinates the development and translation of training programs and materials with internal resources and vendors to ensure accuracy, quality, and deadlines are met

  • Plans and executes Privacy training programs, communications, delivery methods, target audiences, and content to determine necessary training modifications (Ambassador, Practitioner and Privacy by Design)

  • Assists operational Privacy in the field with corporate resources

  • Project manages UPS Global Privacy Regulation Compliance Programs

  • Oversees Global Privacy Office Rights Fulfillment Compliance Programs

  • Facilitate responding to privacy requests and maintain accurate and thorough documentation of issues, responses, and resolutions

  • Ensure the business unit’s proactive compliance with all regulatory-mandated requirements

  • Plans and Executes Privacy Awareness Efforts Including Privacy Week and Standalone Events

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience facilitating meetings, leading live training sessions and conducting interviews

  • High ethical standards

  • Accounts for sensitivity and privacy of confidential information

  • Industry recognized privacy certification: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Practitioner, Certified Data Privacy Professional (CDPP)

  • Master's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Business, Finance or Law - Preferred

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience
