UPS Product Mgt Senior Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

The Product Manager creates and executes product and program strategy and marketing plans to grow volume, revenue, and profit within Healthcare and Life Sciences. He/She collaborate with other groups to ensure the right messages get to the customer through all communications channels. This position identifies market value chain requirements and translates UPS capabilities into value propositions for targeted customers. The product Manager is responsible for conducting and directing the analysis in support of advancing the competitiveness of select products, participating in cross-functional efforts to address opportunities and gaps, and developing and distributing routine and ad-hoc product performance reports. He/She supports operating plan analysis and development, and develops content in support of field training and communications.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborates with customers and sales force to gain insight on competitive advantages and disadvantages to develop healthcare strategic business cases to support healthcare profitable revenue growth

  • Develops project plans (i.e., detailed plan, milestones, and work breakdown structures) and assigns tasks to resources to ensure that the project will be completed on time and according to specifications

  • Designs and implements communication plans to ensure internal stakeholders are informed and updated as to the status of healthcare strategic initiatives and business cases

  • Works with corporate teams to develop comprehensive marketing materials / collateral and communication plans for specified healthcare strategy growth initiatives

Knowledge and Skills

  • Develops Marketing Strategies: analyzes marketing research information and works with customers and sales resources to develop a value proposition for product; provides subject matter expertise and develops marketing materials to support growth of product revenue

  • Analyzes and Reports Performance of Products: implement measurement plans to ensure effective tracking of product volume and revenue performance; reviews annual situation assessment from internal and external data to understand product performance and identify strategic opportunities of key customer issues

  • Identifies Customer Needs and Industry Trends: maintains communication with customers, marketing sources, and reviews industry sources to stay apprised of trends that will impact UPS and/or customers

  • Conducts Competitive Analysis: works with competitive analysis groups to gather information related to market share position by volume and revenue; analyzes competitors’ messages and identifies UPS competitive advantages and disadvantages

  • Develops Manages Projects: manages project lifecycles including scope, resources, and schedule; works with affected groups to ensure effective communications and negotiate process changes

  • Develops and Delivers Presentations: gathers, compiles and analyzes relevant research data for inclusion in presentations to key stakeholders and responds to stakeholder questions and concerns

  • Master’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Marketing or Supply Chain - Preferred

  • Experience in the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry - Preferred
