UPS Transformation Supervisor in Atlanta, Georgia

UPS is seeking a Transformation Supervisor to help support the enterprise Transformation effort. Specifically, he/she will work with the Talent Transformation team and use analytics to provide business leaders with insights on talent, monitor data quality metrics to ensure business needs are met, create and manage project plans, and support change management efforts and implementation of transformation projects. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathers information

  • Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forms project team; establishes project budget

  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolves problems; publishes progress reports; recommends actions

  • Maintains user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential

  • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Validates resource requirements and develops cost estimate models

  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports

  • Understands and communicates the financial and operational impact of any changes

  • Suggests changes using analytics to support recommendations; participates in the implementation of approved changes

  • Creates informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement

  • Conducts insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong technology, analytical and communication skills

  • Experience with software design and maintenance

  • Previous work experience

  • Desire for process improvement with ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational

  • Detail oriented and inquisitive with ability to see the "big picture"

  • Critical thinker and problem solver

  • Ability to work independently and with others

  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills and ability to work well under pressure

  • Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience - Preferred
