UPS Treasury Specialist (Bilingual English & Spanish) in Atlanta, Georgia

The Treasury Bank Account Administration (BAA) Specialist analyzes bank services and related fees to minimize bank service expenses. He/She manages critical Treasury audit controls to ensure regulatory compliance (i.e., Sarbanes-Oxley). The Treasury BAA Specialist engages in special projects to support departmental initiatives.

The Treasury BAA Specialist monitors opening and closing of bank accounts and makes additions and deletions to the Treasury Management System. He/She reviews bank statements to verify legitimacy of open accounts and accuracy of assessed service fees. This position analyzes bank service usage in comparison to prior periods to determine volume disparities. The Treasury BAA Specialist updates signatory rights in the Treasury Management System to reflect accurate signors for specific accounts.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Obtains approval and submits bank fee invoices to the Financial Service Center department to ensure timely payment

  • Consolidates bank accounts and services to ensure efficiency and minimize fees

  • Compares bank fees to contracted prices to identify disparities

  • Organizes monthly meetings with banks to discuss invoice and statement discrepancies

  • Queries bank account information from Treasury systems and manages cash balances

  • Provides information on fees and services to account owners to ensure bank services and systems support are provided in the most cost-effective manner

  • Manages the issuance and amendments of Letters of Credit to ensure accuracy

  • Manages designated domestic and international corporate bank accounts daily to ensure proper funding, management of cash balances, and excess cash mitigation

Knowledge and Skills

  • Possesses ability to generate simple reports using basic functions in software, and/or writing basic queries; identifies information required to complete reports and identifies existing reports generated by others

  • Demonstrates a general understanding of technology used by the company; communicates basic technological concepts and terminology; applies standard technology in daily work

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written bilingual skills in English and Spanish

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) – Preferred

  • Experience performing advanced tasks in Microsoft Excel and Access (formula creation, Pivot Tables, database creation, complex query creation) - Preferred
