About this role:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be working on a variety of projects for ParcelPro, UPS Capitals High Value division. He/She will be responsible for creating requirements and user stories for projects in progress. They will work with business partners across multiple business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies. He/She collaborates with IT professionals and conducts feasibility studies to determine whether solutions currently exist (internal or external) or whether new solutions are feasible. This position determines how such solutions will impact existing work processes and systems. He/She may manage the integration and researches and facilitates the evaluation of "buy versus build" decisions.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst performs functions on highly complex projects and provides guidance to a team of Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) on cross-functional projects. He/She serves as a liaison between the business community and Information Technology (I.T.). This position elicits and analyzes business needs for highly complex projects, determines the impact and integration of solutions to business processes and systems, and validates that solutions fit within the long-term strategic vision. He/She ensures that BSA work products conform to quality and content standards, and stays current on industry best practices, standards, trends, tools and techniques. He/She collaborates with organizational stakeholders and senior management to establish and implement processes that enhance efficiency,and improve work products for the enterprise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile Business Analysis, Business Process Analysis, Structured Systems Analysis, Business Process and Requirements Elicitation, Data Mapping and Requirements Prioritization

  • Strong Leadership and Strategic Planning skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent in education and experience

  • Strong Technical writing skills

  • Technical Writing: Demonstrates an advanced understanding and use of grammatical rules; expresses ideas clearly and concisely; explains the relationship of effective writing to business objectives

  • Assesses Business Needs: Demonstrates an advanced understanding of ways to identify and measure the current needs of the customer or business; uses the business need to help define the project’s requirements

  • Solicits and Gathers Information: Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of techniques for soliciting and gathering information
