UPS Ocean Customer Transload Associate I in Auburn, Washington

UPS Supply Chain Solutions is seeking an Ocean Sr. Customer Support Rep who will impact the organization by managing multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision and high attention to detail. He/She will possess a thorough understanding of UPS SCS services and the correlation of the functions as it relates to providing excellent service to the customer. The ideal candidate will have one to three years' customer service experience in the freight forwarding, transportation or brokerage industry. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Initiates, processes, audits and closes warehouse requests

  • Contacts customers to obtain or provide information on the status of transload/warehouse requests

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong customer service skills and problem solving acumen

  • Minimum of one year customer service experience

  • Basic understanding of ocean transportation regulations & functions, brokerage industry, freight forwarding routing or ability to acquire desired knowledge

  • Specialized knowledge of UPS service features

  • Effective communication skills both oral and written

  • Problem solver with ability to troubleshoot and determine solutions independently

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills

  • Administrative skills

  • Detail oriented and organized

  • Multitasker with ability to work in a team environment or independently

  • Systems knowledge and experience -
