We are seeking an Inside/Tele-Sales Executive (Business Development/Account Management) to support our growing business as a long-established leader in global Logistics and Freight Forwarding. We are seeking a passionate, motivated and energetic individual to join our Business Development team, to provide professional support and relationship management to a portfolio of accounts within UPS’ SP (Small Parcel/Express) business.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage, develop and grow a portfolio of customers within a geographic territory, across industries.
Develop and maintain multi-level relationships within customer businesses to better understand their business model, industry and goals to align these with UPS’ business goals and strategies.
Proactively identify additional opportunities for growth in profitable business within the customer base, leveraging the full UPS portfolio of products and services.
Collect and share competitive information from the territory and freight industry for broader sales team distribution and collaboration.
Use established techniques and tools to gather data and identify customer requirements including organizational structures and key decision makers, the customers’ strategy and focus, validate opportunities and evaluate the fit to SP products and services.
Works with other internal departments and stakeholders to assist in developing solutions for the clients.
Act as a customer advocate into the UPS business during solution development.
Develop proposals, validate pricing to ensure customers’ expectations are met effectively.
Presents proposals to customers to illustrate the value of solution and work with customer to achieve commitment and agreement with projects.
Interpret tracking data and monitors account for clients to identify and address client’s changing needs.
Oversee client relationship pertaining to operations service and gathers feedback.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A degree in a business or related discipline is preferred but not essential.
3+ years of telesales and/or face to face account management experience.
Knowledge of and sales experience within the logistics/freight industry or related industries is highly desirable.
Strong questioning and analytical skills.
Highly self-motivated with ability to work effectively as part of a team, and also autonomously.
High level of self-accountability and ownership of results/outcomes.
