Job Description

The ideal candidate for the Automotive Administrative Assistant will have at least one year experience in a fast-paced office environment. The candidate will have strong analytical oral/written communication, problem solving, basic research, and time management skills. Communication skills are essential to the success of the position. This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by persons assigned to this classification. Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation of complex reports/presentations

  • Analysis using various software packages and databases, e.g. MS Access

  • Determining methods and procedures for completing complex tasks

  • Providing advanced office support knowledge and skills

  • Preparing and/or coordinating information for internal and external contacts

  • Researches equipment documentation issues to resolve problems (e.g. inaccuracies, omitted data, etc.)

  • Make arrangements for mechanic assistance or tow truck to prevent service failure

  • Adheres to purchasing limits, expense approval procedures, and equipment disposal guidelines to remain within cost plan

  • All other tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or manager

Preferred Compentencies

  • Proficient in MS Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Knowledge in database (Access) and document file management

  • Intra/Internet and Web application

  • Knowledge of automotive web applications such as eCARS and AIS

  • Taking initiative throughout job responsibilities; identifying problems/issues and following up with the proper resolution

  • Ability to work with minimum supervison

  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Must be able to meet deadlines

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency

  • One year or more of office experience

  • Proficient in MS Office
