This role is in the UPS Healthcare Italy division which operates in the pharmaceutical logistics and distribution market, shipping from Formello (Rome) and Liscate (Milano).

Can you prove you possess an Information Technology know-how, the right relationship skills and excellent problem solving techniques to provide users with technical support services and help managing a large IT migration project within the UPS Healthcare Italy business unit?

In the role of IT Specialist you will be a point of contact for several project stakeholders (the Business, Operations, Corporate staff and/or overall, Customers) to provide hardware and software planning, technical advice, and informal training to customers.

We’re offering a permanent contract to a skilled worker who wants to take the responsibility to provide technical support for users with their own computers setup, installation and configuration as well as managing the local network maintenance and servers administration.

What you’ll do

  • Organizing and coordinating activities for installing, deploying, and upgrading software, hardware, and network facilities;

  • Troubleshooting and restoring routine technical service;

  • Resolving equipment problems using established processes and procedures;

  • Providing regular project updates to stakeholders

  • Coordinating with IT staff in other offices on project requirements and technical activities;

What you’ll need

  • Academic background in Computer Science or related discipline

  • Very good technical knowledge about computers configurations, OS system setup and software installation (+3 years)

  • Minimum basic knowledge about network devices and configuration;

  • Understanding of Warehouse and Distribution business processes;

  • Mature communications capabilities both written and oral

  • AS400 knowledge is a nice to have

  • Problem solving and agile thinking

  • Good written and verbal English communication skills (at least B2)
