Job Title: Air Finance Business Professional

Department: Finance & Accounting, Floor 3A – Air Group Building, 1400 N Hurstbourne Parkway, Louisville KY 40223

Days: Monday – Friday Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Job Description:

The Air Finance Business Professional works in an office environment located at the Air Group Building. Position is currently remote due to COVID-19, however long-term expectation is a hybrid of in-person and remote work. There is daily interaction with other Finance and Accounting departments, as well as other internal customers. Very team oriented. Can be demanding at times due to deadlines. Business casual attire. Occasional overtime. This position has contact with all levels of management.

The Air Finance BP reports to Air Finance Supervisor and provides financial support for package movements utilizing Small Feeder Aircraft (SFAC) and common carriage/trucking modes of transportation. The financial support includes the planning, monthly reporting, forecasting, and month end closing. This position also provides International Air Feed (IAF) system support and is the lead for Segregation of Duties (SOD) audits on the IAF system.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Small Feeder Aircraft (SFAC) planning and forecasting along with supporting Accenture with entering contracts into Access Database and adhoc reporting requests as required.

  • Planning, monthly reporting, forecasting, and month end closing of common carriage/trucking package movements.

  • Review and approval of invoices entered in the IAF system to facilitate payment.

  • IAF system support as required (adding/removing users, system testing).

  • Provides test support to assist with IAF system coding updates.

  • Quarterly and Bi-annual Segregation of Duties (SOD) IAF user audits and risk assessments.

  • This position will complete small feeder aircraft (SFAC) and common carriage/trucking self-audits.

  • This position will interact with Accenture to ensure that migrated tasks are completed accurately and timely.

  • The position will summarize and communicate financial results/recommendations with management teams.

  • The position will create and maintain Master Operating Plans and department checklists.

Required Skills:

  • Obtained or is working toward a BS/BA in a business field (accounting, finance, economics etc.).

  • Proficient understanding of accounting principles.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of F&A information systems and reporting tools (Longview, Oracle General Ledger, OBI/Financial Data Mart).

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with Longview system Excel templates used to query data for forecasting and business updates.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated to learn new concepts and improve current processes.

  • Ability to identify and lead process improvement opportunities.

Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks successfully and possess good planning and organizational skills. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Strong attention to detail. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
