Job Title: Finance & Accounting Intern

Work Location: Facilities include (but not limited to) Global Operations Center, Air Group Building, Air District, and AMDC

Work Environment: Office Environment. Team atmosphere. Business Casual office attire with jeans. Work hours may vary between locations that vary across the Air Region within the city of Louisville Kentucky. Idea sharing and generation regarding business elements and sustainable business practices.
Job Summary: Candidate has the potential to be involved in various aspects of Finance and Accounting related to the business support of the UPS Airline, Procurement, Worldport Operations and other cursory business segments from planning, forecasting, variance analysis, cost modeling, industry analysis, econometrics, activity based costing, capital budgeting, general ledger, accounts payable, financial systems analysis and process audit and so many other elements of the business. On the job training provided along with a host of training modules to help the candidate become acclimated.
Job Description: Depending upon skills match with candidate the person will work with various employee levels and business units to support the overall Air Region position as identified by the business areas mentioned in the job summary.
Required Skills: Working toward a 4 year business degree or holds a 4 yr. business related degree or graduate degree; working toward a graduate degree is considered as well.
Additional Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Product Suite such as Access, Excel, Word; Knowledge of Longview or other Reporting tools; Oracle Business Intelligence Suite; Project Management tools and process mapping programs is also helpful. Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures; Knowledge of business planning and forecasting tools.
Interpersonal Skills: Good oral presentation and written communication skills. Problem analysis, strategic thinking. The ability to work with a team in various roles is important. Self-driven and motivated is a plus.
