Job Description:
The Quality Control Supervisor monitors the implementation of policies and procedures for aircraft inspection functions. This position inspects aircraft parts, components, and materials in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and UPS procedures, methods, practices, operations, and safety. He/She audits technical records supporting airworthiness of aircraft, aircraft parts, and components in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). The Quality Control Supervisor monitors workmanship and materials to verify compliance with UPS and FAA regulations, policies, and standards. He/She audits aircraft line maintenance operations and shops. He/She performs on-site surveillance of Aircraft Maintenance operations. This position provides interpretation and applicability of UPS policies and procedures and FAA regulations to aircraft maintenance operations. The Quality Control Supervisor conducts investigations of Aircraft Maintenance operations related to regulatory non-compliance, quality deficiencies, and identified areas of risk.
