About this role:

The Systems Programming Analyst contributes to the evaluation, design, development, testing, operational maintenance, protection, and support of UPS technology assets through Information Technology (I.T.) environment life cycle (e.g., mainframe, midrange, open systems and x86/x64 architectures, storage, mobile and fixed devices, etc.). S/he contributes to the evaluation, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, performance, capacity tuning, and support of third-party infrastructures, applications, and appliances (i.e., transaction, collaboration, communications protocols, application delivery, virtualization, and directory services). This position assists with design, implementation, maintenance, and support of storage and back-up and recovery solutions.

The Systems Programming Analyst assists in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of I.T. Security models for UPS's I.S. environments. This position executes processes to improve the reliability, efficiency, and availability of the systems environment. He/She serves as a subject matter expert for administration, maintenance, customization, and support of workforce automation tools to increase organizational efficiency. He/She documents and validates business continuity plans. This position utilizes basic templates and tools for activities and duties of low risk, minimal impact, low complexity, and scope.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience with JBoss Fuse Administration, Linux Systems Administration, MQ and Microsoft Office

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Access or MS SQL are considered a Plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to present information to a small group of people

  • Able to work in a fast paced, technical environment

  • Troubleshooting

  • Technical Analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
