UPS Security Specialist (M/F) in Marseille, France

Position Summary

The Loss Prevention Coordinator assists in improving the safety and security of people and property, through audits and investigations. He or she works in close partnership with all operational staff.

He or she carries out all tasks in accordance with the company's operating methods and Quality and Values Initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

• Audit and inspect all centers under his or her responsibility in order to prevent all physical risks (primarily fires or theft)

• Draw up investigations and processes aimed at ensuring the security and safety of property and merchandise

• Carry out the necessary analyses to determine the cause(s) of major or recurring incidents

• Complete the necessary procedures with the relevant authorities in the case of problems relating to safety

• Follow and apply at the centers the current regulations and internal procedures (compliance with occasional verifications and security routines in association with the various managers involved)

• Regularly monitor legislation to check for changes to regulations associated with the group's activities, in cooperation with the Legal Department

• Suggest and, after approval from the supervisor, participate in any project designed to make the movement of merchandise more secure, and to ensure the safety of people and property at the centers

• Design scorecards (key indicators) and keep them up to date

• Regularly report back to the supervisor

• Notify supervisors of any problems or recurring malfunctions

• Take part in all internal or external work meetings to present the results of his or her activity

• Support the sales force in analyzing client specifications and reestablish the recommendations associated with safety and security.

• Follow the Quality, Health and Safety rules implemented within the company

• Apply and follow the processes put in place by supervisors and which become part of the company's Quality Initiative

• Carry out any one-time tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Education and Work Experience

BAC (high school diploma) / BAC + 2
