Job Description:

DAP (Digital Access Program) is an exciting program which "meets prospective UPS customers where they are" by engaging e-commerce firms and integrating UPS technology into their online platforms. By making UPS an integral part of the technologies online sellers are already using to sell, promote, and distribute their goods to consumers, UPS distinguishes itself as the industry leader in e-commerce and becomes the natural "go-to" shipping carrier for web merchants in the U.S. and worldwide.

The DAP Marketing Strategy Supervisor is a dynamic role which will challenge results-oriented individuals who enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, breaking new ground and finding innovative new solutions to drive growth. In this role you will leverage strong analytical skills to solve problems, build and develop relationships within UPS and its partner organizations, and offer significant contributions to strategy development and execution. You will also have opportunities to employ strong communication skills to engage with DAP stakeholders at the highest levels of organizational leadership. Finally, you will manage multiple complex work streams with critical deadlines to drive successful execution of high visibility projects that hold significant impact for both UPS and its partner organization(s).

Main responsibilities and tasks:

  • Gathers data and performs analyses necessary to develop and evaluate DAP Marketing Strategies

  • Consults with internal subject matter experts to assist in identifying the best approach to gathering information and solving business issues

  • Conducts detailed external analysis to help develop a current and future view of markets

  • Summarizes and communicates to key stakeholders throughout the organization

  • Employs strong project management skills involving multiple work streams with high attention to detail

  • Builds relationships cross functionally internally and externally to drive project execution

  • Stays informed on industry specific technology developments, competitors’ performance, offerings and capabilities, developments in merchant/consumer needs, etc.

  • Liaises with different departments and countries, the region and corporate offices in order to exchange information and to leverage existing material as much as possible

  • Initiates, organizes, guides and supports project related activities and works with and through team members to develop and present recommendations to senior management

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Moderate to high proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Project Management skills and/or demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex work streams with tight deadlines

  • Light to moderate understanding of commonly used digital technologies (ex. APIs) - Preferred

  • Inquisitive personality; strong desire to learn; ability to probe effectively

  • Structured approach; process oriented with attention to detail; able to prioritize

  • Strong numerical, analytical and conceptual skills; logical thinker; strategic mind set

  • Experience with ‘selling’ project outcomes and strategic concepts to C-level management

  • Experience with and market knowledge of E-Commerce/B2C preferred

  • Proven track record in data mining and analytics

Basic qualifications:

  • Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience

  • Master’s degree (mathematics, physics, economics, etc.); preferably MBA

  • Must have experience conducting analysis

  • Must have experience demonstrating advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access)

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
