Job Summary Provide administrative support to the Aircraft Maintenance management team. Job duties will vary. The department serves as a central repository for fielding questions from employees.
Job Description Audit and upload revisions of maintenance manuals to the server and multiple laptops used by management. Process overtime requests and maintain databases. Assist mechanic and utility employees with uniform orders and charges. Assist in creating and updating various reports. Process mail. Pay vendor bills utilizing I-procurement. Process safety awards. Field employee questions and phone calls. Order supplies. Stock wing offices with needed office supplies. Update phone listings. Update birthday board. Expect to work some holidays. May have to alternate work schedule on occassion to cover for other employee's vacations or days off. Other duties may be assigned by the management team.
Required Skills Must have valid drivers license (as position requires ramp driving certification to drive on the ramp). Intermediate level in Excel. Basic level in Word. Must type at least 35 wpm. Must have acceptable attendance record.
Additional Skills Experience driving on the ramp would be helpful. I-procurement experience and knowledge of the Impacts system would be helpful.
Interpersonal Skills This position supports the Aircraft Maintenance team. The primary customers in this role are management and 2727 union employees. Professionalism, being a team player and the ability to establish good rapport with the customer are a must. A great attention to detail is critical in this role as responsibilities include determining overtime for employees which impact mechanic's pay. Must be able to work with limited supervision.
Work Environment Climate controlled office on the second floor of the Aircraft Maitnenace Hangar Facility located at 750 Grade Lane. Floors are concrete. Offce shared with four administrative employees. Dress is business casual. Job also requires movement to other locations within the Air District operation such as to aircraft maintenace trailers and maintenance trailers and maintenance offices in hub wings. This means it will be necessary to occassionally travel in and out of hot and cold temperatures and inclimate weather when necessary.
