UPS Team Leader (M/F) in Montpellier, France

Position Summary

The Team Leader monitors and coordinates the organization of his or her activity (operational and administrative monitoring) and ensures compliance with current regulations and internal procedures.

These tasks are carried out in accordance with the company’s operating methods and Quality and Values Initiatives.

The team leader position applies to several activities: road, dock, hub, air operations and OSP (management of outsourced service providers).

Key Accountabilities

• Periodically evaluate all members of the team

• Supervise the team and assign tasks daily

• Organize, coordinate and monitor the team’s activity, while optimizing resources (human and technical)

• Lead and unite the team

• Communicate regularly with teams

• Take part in recruiting and training team members

• Lead individual or group interviews or formal discussions

• Achieve the objectives determined in advance with the supervisor and monitor frequencies and performance indicators

• If applicable, justify and analyze the results of off-plan activity and implement action plans for the performance indicators in question

• Ensure that the plan is applied and that resources are suitable according to the volume of activity

• Collect then analyze requests for pick up and service from the agency

• Plan and optimize routes for drivers in compliance with current legislation

• Assist and support drivers in the case of a malfunction while on the road in order to propose a solution

• Enter proof of delivery in the information system (POD) while ensuring compliance with the established deadlines and procedures. Compliance with KPIs

• Provide the necessary resources to meet contractual obligations (internal or external)

• Manage and archive all administrative documents associated with the services provided

• Send all information on the provision of services (closure, incidents, etc.) to customer service

• Take into account and enforce transportation regulations

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and with rules for working conditions relating to health and safety in place within the company

• Play a role in preventing the risk of accidents in the workplace

• Carry out any one-time tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Education and Work Experience

BAC (high school diploma) +2/3 logistics transport, management

Management experience desired: 2/3 years
