They are drivers who keep trailers moving all around UPS property so they can be unloaded, repositioned, and loaded again. Vehicle shifters are good at backing up trailers to the bay door.
SHIFT YOUR SKILLS
So, what does it take to make it as a casual vehicle shifter?
The ability to operate a powered industrial truck (PIT) or tractor trailer
The ability to back trailers safely
Valid driver’s license—no CDL required (License type varies by state)
Excellent driving skills and a good driving record
Reliable and responsible
Legal right to work in the U.S.

The base pay for this position is $23.00/hour
