About Applications Development at UPS Technology:

Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with all of our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive our business and provide the ultimate customer experience. As a member of the applications development family, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.

About this role:

The Intermediate Applications Developer will be part of UPS.com Tracking development team. He/She will be responsible for providing input and support for full development life cycle activities (e.g., analysis, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) for business critical UPS.com applications. The candidate will be involved in software development, testing, deployment and maintenance activities in an agile setup employing C#, .Net Core, Angular 12 and later, JavaScript, Selenium, Jenkins and Openshift technologies.

The candidate is expected to provide input to user story estimation and task planning and breakdown during sprint planning. He/She is expected to complete tasks within planned durations and established deadlines and collaborate with other team members and support emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with Angular 2 and higher, C#, .NET, HTML5, JavaScript, Web Application Development and Object Oriented Analysis & Design

  • Knowledge of Agile Development Process, Test Driven Development and Test Automation Tools

  • Familiarity with Docker Containers, Openshift Platform and Jenkins CI/CD Pipelines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and be a self-motivated learner

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
