About Applications Development at UPS Technology:
Our technology teams use expertise in applications programming & database technologies to support enterprise infrastructure. They create & support application frameworks & tools. They support deployment of applications & services across a multi-tier environment that processes up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive business goals & provide the ultimate customer experience. As a member of the applications development family, you will help UPS grow & provide valuable services across the globe.
About this role:
Will consider candidates from the following I.T. Campus locations: NJ, MD, GA & KY.
The Intermediate Applications Developer with minimum 2+ years’ experience developing applications in JAVA / Sprint boot platform. Exposure in creating kubernetes services and microservice design patterns will be helpful. Experience in DevSecOps - CI/CD pipeline will be beneficial for quick transition into the team. Able to create relevant documentation for each of the services. Familiarity with FUSE, Camel routes and Openshift platforms is helpful.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with Java Programming and SQL Language
Knowledge of Agile Development and Java Server Pages
Familiarity with Team Leadership & Motivation
Experience with Java backend development (Spring, Spring Boot), OpenShift, Microservices
Knowledge of Event driven architecture, Agile Development, GIT, CICD tools like Jenkins
Familiarity with Messaging (AMQ, WMQ), Apache Camel, DB2 database, Linux, WebServices
Must be a detail-oriented, self-motivated learner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
