About this Role:

The IT Policy and Planning Manager leads the development and implementation of Information Services (I.S.) strategy, initiatives, and governing policies. This position influences the technology direction and definition for the enterprise. He/She provides guidance to others on methodology, processes, standards, solution architecture, and metrics. This position partners with I.S. leadership by planning and championing the execution of broad initiatives aimed at delivering value to internal and external stakeholders.

The IT Policy and Planning Manager interfaces across business areas to lead the definition and direction for projects. He/She leads efforts in conceiving solutions, building consensus, and selling and executing solutions. This position provides guidance for the project life cycle from the initial kickoff through the requirements, analysis, design, and implementation. The IT Policy and Planning Manager has significant responsibility for the work of others and for the allocation of resources. He/She provides expertise in process reengineering, project estimation, cost benefit analysis, business value determination, and success criteria.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles. Strong knowledge of DevOps and associated tooling and usage. Drive Agile and DevOps adoption across the Enterprise

  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, negotiation and team building. Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence

  • Advanced experience with Architecture and Product Roadmapping, Cloud Native Design and Microservices, Strong Understanding/Application of Design Patterns, Cloud Development/Architecture, Public and Private Cloud Capabilities, Microsoft Office

  • Expert with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Development)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
