About Applications Development at UPS Technology:
Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with all of our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive our business and provide the ultimate customer experience. As a member of the applications development family, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.
About this role:
The Senior Applications Developer will work on the OPSYS Regulatory development team to maintain and modernize this operations critical application. We are looking for self-motivated and strong full stack Java developer who must have skills and experience in web and webservice design, development, testing and implementation of Java web and OpenShift applications. He/She will provide input, support and will perform full systems life cycle management activities. The Senior Applications Developer researches and supports the integration of emerging technologies providing knowledge and support for all phases. He/She performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines. This position collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication in supporting the achievement of objectives..
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with Angular, full stack Java Programming, SQL Language and Web Service Development
Knowledge of Agile Development and JMS
Familiarity with Collaboration and Technical Analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be a Self-Motivated Learner
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
