Job Description:

The Corporate Retail Solutions (CRS) Sales Specialist is responsible for managing support functions that are essential to sales force productivity. He/She interfaces directly with the client to identify business needs and support The UPS Store products and services to meet those needs. He/She will support the Sales Managers with contract implementation and compliance. He/She collaborates with the Sales Managers and entire network to support and implement account strategies. This position is also responsible for making proactive contact with sales lead opportunities to develop and grow the business within the assigned territory as requested. He/she may produce reports and presentations as requested by Sales Managers. He/she will ensure the report data is accurate and increases the awareness of performance to stakeholders.

Job Duties

Manages Accounts and Resolves Customer Service Issues

• Responds to customer questions, complaints, and inquiries to meet customer needs.

• Maintains relationships with customers during the implementation process by assisting them and acting as their

advocate on service issues as a liaison to operations.

• Supports the revenue of CRS which exceeds $260 million annually from approximately one hundred (100) customer accounts.

• Educates customers on existing service channels and redirects service issues to expedite problem resolution.

• Collaborates with the UPS Enterprise Sales team as needed to resolve issues

• Speaks directly to customers to identify their business needs, leverage The UPS Store UPS products and services, and retain

current business

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of The UPS Store’s products to help identify sales solutions that meet customer needs.

• Maintains relationships with internal and external customers to facilitate prompt resolution of customer issues and retain business.

Implements Account Solutions

• Informs customers of implementation timelines and action plans to ensure successful implementation.

• Collaborates with Operations to ensure program requirements are clear and adhere to current The UPS Store policies.

• Coordinates cross-functional efforts to ensure activities align for successful program implementation.

• Works with the client to gather program requirements and helps communicate them to Technology for the workflow creation.

• Perform UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for technology changes.

• Identifies the need for formal program communications and drafts appropriate materials for the desired audience.

• Coordinates with the Training team to create necessary materials for implementation as well as account reminders and updates.

• Trains clients on best practices to ensure program success.

Supports Analysis and Reporting

• Researches and corrects data inconsistencies to ensure data accuracy.

• Compares data from previous/current reports to anticipate questions from requestors regarding the validity of data.

• Reviews formulas to determine whether data is accurately captured.

• Develops presentations and sales performance reports as requested to support Sales Managers.

• Consolidates and reports field feedback on needed improvements as appropriate.

• Schedules reports to ensure the execution and delivery of reports occurs in a timely manner.

• Work with accounting and audit monthly billing to ensure accuracy

Supports Field Sales Communications and Processes

• Provides feedback regarding process or data errors discovered for correction.

• Conducts meetings as needed with Sales Managers and clients to discuss data findings and to obtain feedback.

• Provides analysis on process and procedure usage at the field level.

• Makes recommendations on how to improve usage.

Completes Administrative Assigned Tasks

• Documents relevant customer information in the account management systems to coordinate sales and provide service.

• Records and updates account activity to ensure customer information and interactions are accurately documented.

• Monitors new revenue generation.

• Participates in special projects to meet urgent business needs and increase potential revenue.

• Assists with legal contracts and processing

Internal Salary Grade: 10D

Location: This position is located in San Diego, CA

Compensation and Benefits:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $55,536/year to $69,368/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
