UPS Sr. Applications Developer in San Diego, California

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Developer to join our team and support franchisee operations and allow franchisees to facilitate programs for marquee customers (corporate clients). We maintain a continuous pipeline of technology projects and new features to support our franchisee’s businesses. Knowledge of how the products and feature sets evolve help keep our Dev/QA process consistent from year to year and allow the team to achieve the greatest success; with the right skill set.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborates with project team members to support the full systems life cycle activities (e.g., analysis, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.)

  • Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, corrects, and documents moderate to highly complex programs to ensure optimal performance and compliance

  • Participates in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements

  • Develops and maintains system documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency

  • Creates unit test plans and reviews documented results to ensure requirements are met

  • Provides input to applications development project plans and integrations

  • Provides status reporting on project activities

  • Collaborates with various teams/business functions to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives

Knowledge and Skills

  • Self-motivated, highly dependable, proactive, and organized

  • Analytical and detail oriented

  • Works well independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Azure (platform as a service) experience

  • Proficient C#.net skills

  • Proficient SQL skills

  • Ability to develop web and windows desktop applications
