UPS APAC Communications Marketing Director in Singapore, Singapore
We are looking for a competent Communications Director to lead the strategy, planning, development and implementation of Customer Communications, Public Relations and Digital Marketing plans for the Asia Pacific Region.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with at least 8 years of working experience in marketing or communications and 5 years of people management skills.
Ultimately, he/she should be able to direct and monitor program status, program measurement, staff capacity, requirements and budgets to achieve business objectives. This role is based in Singapore and reports directly to the Region Marketing Vice President.
Team Management and Development
Determines the organizational needs, sets the objectives and monitors the team’s performance
Manages career development of the team and succession planning
Develops and allocates actionable, measurable, relevant plans and holds the team accountable
Integrated Communications Planning
Collaborates with internal business partners and corporate communication functions to understand business goals of marketing initiatives and ensure aligned integrated communication plans
Leads the development and execution of creatives schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure effectiveness, brand consistency, and strategy alignment
Public Relations Planning and Strategies
Creates and oversees the development of Public Relations strategies that incorporate international business, cultural, and media practices to advance and enhance UPS's reputation
Generates Public Relations initiatives in consultation with other communications and marketing groups, Business Development and Public Affairs, to support enterprise priorities
Agency Relationship Management
- Provides direction to agencies to ensure compliance, campaign effectiveness, alignment with communications objectives and strategy, and monitors performance
Communications Programs Effectiveness
Identifies and measures communications impacts to achieve desired outcomes and return-on-investment , and identifies areas for improvement
Evaluates competitive communications to determine communications strategies and plans for strengthening UPS’s competitive advantage
Possess a minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing or related disciplines
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in marketing (inclusive of digital marketing) or communications
At least 5 years of successful people management experience with motivational skills
Excellent English writing skills and impeccable verbal and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and able to work well with people of all levels
Creative, self-starter, highly motivated with exceptional analytical, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Possess business acumen and work within cross functional teams
Results-oriented, highly organized and able to drive and influence internal and external stakeholders
Candidate must be comfortable to travel for business purposes
