UPS APAC Customs Brokerage Compliance Supervisor (Region Office) in Singapore, Singapore

Job Description

  • Supervises the Resolution of Compliance Issues.

  • Reviews and interprets regulatory changes to educate Brokerage teams on new and revised regulations.

  • Audits shipments and reviews procedures to ensure compliance with new regulatory initiatives.

  • Reviews internal and external trade information to remain current on regulatory updates.

  • Attends Customs and Border Protection (CBP) meetings and trade seminars to identify issues and expand knowledge of new compliance initiatives.

  • Monitors compliance related performance (e.g., internal auditing, record keeping, etc.) to ensure processes impacting compliance are effective and up-to-date.

  • Conducts Brokerage onsite audits.

  • Monitors penalties and liquidated damages.

  • Monitors systematic defects and procedural deficiencies.

  • Supervises and develops others.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant discipline

  • Broker License or Brokerage experience will be a plus

  • At least 5 years related experience with MNC, including 2 years in management capacity

  • Preferably from Transportation & Logistics or Airlines industry

  • Strong analytical, planning and organizing skills, attention to details

  • Adhere to policies and procedures and balance with customers needs

  • Good Communication Skills and Interpersonal Skills

  • Good written & spoken English & Chinese

  • Familiar with Trade and Regulations within APAC
