The Director of APAC Compensation and Benefits ensures that UPS’s APAC compensation and benefits programs are effectively managed and aligned with UPS’s global strategy and objectives. He/She is the primary liaison for Compensation and Benefits matters in the APAC Region.
UPS has more than 14,000 employees in the APAC region in 14 countries. Currently, the compensation and benefits team APAC has 6 full-time employees. This team manages compensation and benefits programs for hourly, professional and management UPSers.

We must ensure that our compensation and benefit programs globally, as well as in APAC, support and are aligned with our enterprise strategies as we transform.
Responsible for APAC compensation and benefits strategy, design, communication and administration with oversight from Global Rewards and Region leadership.
Act as a consultant and partner to Region HR and Region leadership to ensure that UPS provides compensation and benefits programs that support the attraction and retention of the best talent for the region and reward high performance.
Work closely with the Global Rewards team to ensure that the compensation and benefits programs in APAC are aligned with UPS’s global rewards strategy and objectives while allowing for the appropriate amount of customization to meet the Region talent needs.
Facilitate the approval process for design changes with the Region, International and Corporate Salary Committees.
Serve as the APAC compensation and benefits expert ensuring UPS’s competitiveness in the region by closely monitoring and educating leadership on market trends and practices.
Manage or oversee the administration of the APAC compensation and benefits programs to ensure operational excellence.
Provide superior communications to all stakeholder groups with a particular focus on preparing leaders for changes prior to implementation.
Ensure compliance of all APAC region compensation and benefits programs with local regulatory requirements.
Lead, develop, motivate and coach the APAC region compensation and benefits team.
Coordinate with in-country compensation and benefits resources, experts and/or consultants.
Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with payroll, finance, legal, IT and other HR colleagues in APAC and globally.
Coordinate closely with mobility team and outside partner to ensure seamless experience for our globally mobile employees in APAC.
Extensive knowledge of Compensation and Benefits programs, requirements and trends across the APAC Region.
8-10 years of management experience in Compensation and Benefits within a multinational environment, with prior experience in APAC region (both developed and emerging markets).
Ability to effectively communicate about Compensation and Benefits programs that supports fast-paced decision-making and positive participant experience.
Project and change management experience in a complex environment.
